Pacitan - Srau Beach


Beach Srau in Pacitan (East Java, Indonesia) offers 3 surf spots for intermediate surfers, beach scene with white sand that naturally and away from the crowds, snorkel in the clear sea water and fishing from the top of the cliff. 



Hidden behind a row of hills 25 km west of the town of Pacitan (East Java, Indonesia), Srau Beach is one of a paradise for surfers. Its location is quite far from the city center make this a beautiful beach not too crowded with visitors. A nearby village a few kilometers away. Do not imagine the hotels or restaurants. Only there is a mosque and an open hall that can be used to rest. Some small fruit stall to provide food and beverages perfunctory like instant noodles, fried, coconut ice, tea or coffee. When viewnatureworl expressed intention to spend the night, a shop keeper suggested to sleep in the mosque because it's the lack of adequate accommodation facilities. 


This beach has 3 surf spots with a fairly challenging waves for surfers who are quite powerful. The first spot is located at the back of the ticket portal so often referred to as The Portal. The second spot is the inducement, under the cliff to the west coast that is often used by the fishermen hung angler fish. While the third spot is Pandan, was behind this cliff. 

Beach Srau have a reef type waves break, meaning that the waves created by the sea waves hit the reef. Basic beaches were dominated by rock, so that surfers should be more careful. November to February is the best time to surf and chasing barrels at the Beach Srau. 



Besides spoiling the barrel of his surfer, Srau also offers the charm of the beautiful beach with white sand that dihempas clear waves. Water clarity is what also makes this place perfect for snorkeling and enjoying the beauty and diversity of marine life. Tired of walking on the beach? Try to go up to a small hill on his right. Hiking in the hills of this rock, looking at the landscape and the sea coast magnificent will soon eliminate your boredom. This hill is also a paradise for the angler fish. In addition to the fishermen, not a few people who like fishing had come from out of town and spend a day here.
